Summer Stitches

Summer Stitches

I’m doing so much all at once right now that I swear it feels overwhelming. But behind the chaos, there is so much excitement! I have some incredible new pieces heading to the shop soon. I am particularly proud of the Nautilist Purse—I’ve developed a great idea for the linings, and I have a new product specifically for my eco-friendly followers. I can’t wait to dive into this next project set.

Today, I wanted to share a sneak peek of a top I’ve been working on. It’s inspired by the Sierra Crop Top by Carrie, but I’ve added my own "Hebras" tweaks. I made the hem a bit longer for a different silhouette and added a thicker strap around the neck for comfort and style. The cotton yarn feels amazing, and the colors are giving me all the summer festival vibes.

As before, I have no cute backgrounds for my pictures, so the image has been edited with AI to give it a more aesthetic background. The crochet peice is all mine though!

When I’m not hooking, I’ve been escaping into an anime called The Apothecary Diary. It is so good, though I have to warn you—the second season made my heart hurt.

Closer to home, my heart is full for a different reason: my son is rolling over on his own now and finding his voice. Hearing him "talk" more every day is just the most beautiful thing to me.

As I look toward the future of the mobile boutique, I’m thinking of shifting my focus toward functional art: bags, coasters, placemats, bookmarks, and baskets. I want to move away from the little plushies for now to focus on these home and lifestyle pieces, but I don’t want to limit myself too much either.

What do you think of that direction? I’d love to hear your thoughts on what kind of handmade goods you love to have in your home!
